Abstract

Today, many educational institutions are still hampered by administrative leadership that is unable to drive significant change. Islamic values ​​such as amanah (trust), ihsan (good character), and exemplary behavior have not been well integrated, resulting in suboptimal teacher motivation, innovation, and performance. While modern demands require transformational leadership based on Islamic values, its implementation remains suboptimal, creating a significant issue that requires further in-depth research. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to understand transformational leadership based on Islamic values ​​and its impact on educational performance. Subjects were selected purposively, including leaders, madrasah principals, teachers, and students. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles, Huberman & Saldaña model. Data validity was maintained through triangulation, member checking, and diligent observation. The research findings show that transformational leadership based on Islamic values ​​effectively improves educational performance by integrating spiritual role models, motivation, innovation, and individual attention through the values ​​of sincerity, trustworthiness, justice, and deliberation. This integration creates a collaborative work culture, increases teacher discipline and creativity, and strengthens academic and administrative quality. This leadership model not only improves educational quality structurally, but also strengthens moral and spiritual foundations, making it relevant as a strategy for improving educational quality based on religious values.
