This writing aims to know and understand the idea of fundamental education of the Muslim scholar Ab? H?mid Mu?ammad al-Ghaz?l? and Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas about moral education. The concept is used as a basic ideas in building human resources. Some The findings in this writing can be concluded: First, the concept of moral education according to al-Ghaz?l? is a process of eliminate the reprehensible qualities that exist in the self and inculcate praiseworthy qualities, aimed at producing ins?n k?mil and draw closer to All?h. Moral education that stated al-Ghaz?l? emphasized the element of the soul that has a central position in human beings so that in Moral education method, he chose to use the Tazk?yat al-nafs, muj?hadah and riy??ah. According to al-Ghaz?l? Guru have great duties and positions like the Messenger, and provide personality criteria for teachers and students. Second, the concept of al-Attas' moral education is adopted from the concept of Ta'd?b which includes elements of 'ilm, ta'l?m and tarb?yah and the emphasis tends to be more on improving the mind character using the tawh?d method, stories and metaphors. On the other hand, Al-Attas encourages educators and students have a sincere intention in teaching and seeking knowledge. Third the concept of moral education offered by al-Ghaz?l? and al-Attas have the same purpose, forming ins?n k?mil and taqarrub to All?h. They advocate the nature of ihkla belonging to teachers and students in learning, because learning is giving and receiving activities that will be conveyed if any sincere intention in its implementation.
