Dinamika Perkembangan Kurikulum Pendidikan Pesantren; Satu Analisis Filosofis

So far, various studies on pesantren have described the dynamics of pesantren change in terms of institutional or curriculum perspective structurally. Not many
researchers who describe the dynamics of pesantren (in this case the curriculum) substantially. By Therefore, the author, through this literature research, describes the
changes in the pesantren curriculum from the philosophical aspect that the substance of the dynamics. The purpose of this research is to explore the pesantren education curriculum - which is now become a discourse - not just because of the development of the national education curriculum that is always changing, but because of the dynamics of pesantren in developing its curriculum. The findings of this research are: the response of pesantren in facing the challenges of the times was done in two ways, namely; first, revising the
curriculum by including general subjects. Second, opening their institutions and educational facilities for the benefit of general education. Philosophically, the dynamics of pesantren curriculum development can be mapped into three patterns, including: first, traditionalist. Traditional pesantren follow the patron of Ahl al-Sunnnah wa alJam?'ah which prioritizes four basic values, namely: tas?muh, taw?zun, ta'addul, and tawasu?. Second, modernist. Modern pesantren carry an agenda of change by criticizing the old traditions of the pesantren world that are considered irrelevant to the current context. Third, revivalist. This pesantren has a doctrinaire tendency in in interpreting Islam based on the motive to understand and practice Islam purely and understand and practice Islam purely and free from partial interpretations.
