Abstract

Assessment standards are one part of the National Education Standards (SNP) regarding the education system in the entire jurisdiction of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Therefore, therefore, every educator must understand the juridical and philosophical basis behind the emergence of assessment standards, mechanisms and evaluation procedures,
and evaluation procedures. This includes how educators determine indicators of learning success and design student learning experiences. Educational assessment is the process of collecting and processing information to determine the achievement of student learning outcomes. Assessment is part of of evaluation. Assessment has a meaning that is often confused with the term test, because the use of these two terms does not contain the meaning of evaluation. contains the meaning that evaluation includes two things, namely assessing and measure. Assessing comes from the word value. While measurement refers to something that compares something with a certain
measure, so it is quantitative in nature.
