Peran Guru Dalam Membentuk Karakter Positif Anak Melalui Teknik Modifikasi Perilaku

The role of teachers is a very important role in the process of behavioral change. Behavior modification is an important part of the process of character formation in children, especially at an early age which is a period of rapid development in social and emotional aspects. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of teachers in modifying the behavior of early childhood. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with participatory observation techniques, interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. The participants in this study were the Principal and class teachers. The results of the study at Al Anis Islamic Kindergarten showed that this study highlighted negative behavior in children that emerged, teacher strategies in overcoming this behavior, the role of teachers as positive behavior models, and teacher efforts in establishing cooperation with parents. In addition, teachers also play a role as positive behavior models through exemplary attitudes, speech, and daily actions that are easily imitated by children. Cooperation between teachers and parents is also an important aspect in the process of behavioral change. With the right approach, the role of teachers has proven significant in shaping positive behavior in children from an early age.
