Pengaruh Metode Multisensori terhadap Kemampuan Membaca Permulaan Anak Usia Dini di RA Baitul Huda Kabupaten Bekasi

This study aims to analyze the effect of multisensory methods on early reading skills in young children at RA Baitul Huda in Bekasi Regency. The study used a pretest-posttest control group quasi-experimental design with a saturated sample of 23 children, consisting of 12 children in the experimental group and 11 children in the control group. The results showed that the average pretest score of the experimental group increased from 47 to 78 in the posttest, while the control group increased from 47 to 67. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed, and the homogeneity test showed that the variances of the two groups were homogeneous. Hypothesis testing using an independent sample t-test produced a t-value of 11.648, which was greater than the t-table value of 2.080 at a significance level of 5% (db = 21), confirming that the multisensory method had a significant effect on children's early reading skills. These findings prove that the involvement of visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile modalities can strengthen phonological processing and letter recognition, thereby improving reading learning outcomes in early childhood.
