Abstract

This study aims to see to what extent the sharenting phenomenon has become a platform for parents to capture their children's growth and development. Sharenting is a parenting trend nowadays. Some parents have even become accustomed to regularly uploading and sharing detailed information about their children in cyberspace. This is evidenced by the many posts of parents sharing happy moments with their children circulating freely on social media. The type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. The research sample used is focused on parents aged 28-34 years who have children aged 3-5 years. The data collection technique used unstructured in-depth interviews in the research sample. The data analysis was carried out by applying the Miles & Huberman technique through three stages. The results of the study show that the phenomenon of sharenting has been implemented by parents since their children were in the womb and continues until the child enters education. Furthermore, some children who are the objects of their parents' sharenting do not mind if their daily activities are uploaded to social media.
