Penguatan Peran Komite Sekolah dalam Kemitraan Sekolah dan Masyarakat di Kabupten Bangkalan

This community service program aims to strengthen the strategic role of School Committees in fostering a harmonious partnership between schools and communities in Bangkalan Regency. The background of this activity lies in the limited understanding and involvement of school committees in improving the quality of educational services. The program was implemented through several stages, including preparation, workshops, focus group discussions (FGD), mentoring, and evaluation. The results indicate a significant improvement in the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of committee members regarding their roles as advisory, supporting, controlling, and mediating agencies in accordance with Ministerial Regulation No. 75 of 2016. Furthermore, the program encouraged local-based partnership innovations and established the Bangkalan School Committee Communication Forum (FK2S) as a platform for synergy and best practice sharing among schools. Strengthening the capacity of school committees has proven effective in enhancing transparency, accountability, and community participation in educational management while reinforcing the local cultural value of huyula (mutual cooperation) in school funding. Therefore, this initiative contributes substantially to developing participatory, inclusive, and sustainable education governance at the local level.
